DIY Chocolate mask for Very Dry Skin (Peau Tres Seche)

This chocolate mask recipe is specially made for chocolate lovers. I'm a hardcore chocolate lover, it's always be my number one favorite. So in this entry I will do simple DIY project on "How to make basic chocolate mask".
Personally, I think all the ingredients are easy to get, safe for skin, 100% natural and  no chemical ; basically you can get everything from your kitchen.

Why chocolate?
Chocolate is rich in antioxidants and  helps to moisturize the skin. It is also protects skin from sun damage and also tightens the skin. Based on the research, chocolate mask could gives glow to the face and at the same time prevents blemishes and pimples. It is also increases collagen production, contains high anti-oxidant in a way of preventing wrinkles and anti- ageing.  (Read further here)

Ingredients for chocolate mask (very dry skin):
1) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2) Plain Yogurt
3) Honey
4) Cocoa Powder

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Great for very dry skin to give natural oil to the skin. It contains Vitamin E and vitamin A to moisturize the skin and also works to lessen the appearance of acne scars. Resource

"It contains the same healthy fats as avocado, which can plump lips and moisturize the skin with its combination of vitamin E and vitamin A."

Plain Yogurt
It contains lactic acid to help unclog pores. Read  my previous post for the benefits.

Honey
To moisturize and keep skin hydrated. It is also great to reduce blemishes. Resource

"Acne: Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it's great for acne treatment and prevention. |
Aging: Full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging. |
Complexion boost: It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow. |
Pores: Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog. "

Tips: Sensitive skin- Just mix Cocoa powder and plain yogurt.
Dry skin- All the ingredients except Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1) Pour 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder into the bowl.

2) Mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of honey

3)  1 tablespoon of yogurt into the mixture.

4) Lastly, add 1/2 of teaspoon extra virgin olive oil.

The mixture would looks like brownie batter and you can apply it by using brush or fingers. If the consistency very thick, you may add some yogurt depending on your batter consistency and yogurt used.

Basically, this is how the texture looks like. Now you are done! Time to apply the choco-licious onto your face!

Trust me, the smell is amazingly delicious! if you are chocolate addict, you will feel like eating it!

Wait for 10 minutes then rinse it off . (optional: use facial wash to clean your face)

After the mask treatment, you will feel your skin well-nourished and smooth. If you added Extra Virgin Olive Oil, your face would feel a bit oily but do not worry, it is great for very dry skin.  However, for combination and oily skin, you are advised to skip Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Thank you for reading.
